The United States gets set for a massive contest in the country’s quest for a FIBA World Cup title with a Sunday matchup against Lithuania. Tip-off is slated for 8 a.m. ET at Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.

The United States is a perfect 4-0 so far in Group J action at the 2023 FIBA World Cup, most recently taking an 85-73 win over Montenegro. Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards led a group of five double-digit scorers with 17 points, helping the U.S. stay unbeaten with its fourth straight double-digit victory to open the tournament. The win over Montenegro was the team’s first win in Group J, and Lithuania would mark a pivotal second.
On other side, Lithuania has been dominant with four straight FIBA World Cup victories by at least 25 points and a perfect 4-0 record. That includes a 92-67 win over Greece in the team’s first Group J contest behind efforts from NBA standouts Ignas Brazdeikis (18 points) and Jonas Valanciunas (15). Those forwards could prove to be a handful for the United States, which struggled on the glass in the win over Montenegro. That could be a key dynamic in this one, too.
The United States is a 14.5-point favorite to beat Lithuania and has -1800 odds to win in the money line, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Lithuania goes off with +880 odds in the money line, and the over/under is set at 178.5 points.
